Here We Have The ‘Lennon’ Shirt From Jelado, Following On From Their Popular Introduction From Their Previous Spring/Summer Collection.
The ‘Lennon’ Shirt Is Inspired By Vintage Military Og-107 Shirts Issued To The Us Army Throughout The 1960’S. The Og-107 Was The Basic Work Utility Uniform (Fatigues) Of All Branches Of The United States Armed Forces From 1952 Until Its Discontinuation In 1989, With Surplus Garments Often Finding Their Way To Thrift Stores.
Famously Worn By John Lennon On The Cover Of His ‘Live In New York’ Record, He Favoured Surplus Military Clothing For The Fact It Was Cheap And Ultimately Looked Cool. Jelado Have Taken Inspiration And Formed Their Own Spring/Summer Offering As A Nod To An Icon Of Popular Culture.
Cut From A Ripstop Cotton Fabric In Japan, These Will Fade And Pucker With Each Wash To Give A Lived In Look And Feel. A Button Front Using Resin Buttons Has Been Paired With Two Symmetrical Classic Shaped Pockets While A Relaxed Fit Completes The Look.
